I spent two nights at the Merchant Hotel in Georgetown, and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. While the location is excellent, with many attractions within walking distance, the hotel's noise levels and lack of maintenance really impacted my stay. I found the service to be quite inconsistent, with the reception staff being relatively pleasant, but the dining options left much to be desired.

The room was average at best, with some appliances malfunctioning. The decor felt dated, and I had the misfortune of experiencing noise from the nearby nightclubs and noisy housekeeping staff during my stay.
Service

The reception staff were efficient and friendly, but the overall service could use significant improvement, particularly in the dining area. I faced issues with my meal orders, and a frustrating email interaction regarding my reservation added to my disappointment.

My stay at Merchant Hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The location is solid, right in the heart of George Town, which made exploring super convenient. However, the room was a bit old and musty, with a carpet that seemed to have seen better days. Breakfast was limited, and housekeeping missed a few details. Overall, it was decent, but it could definitely use some improvements.

My stay at the Merchant Hotel was quite an experience. While the location was fantastic, putting me right in the heart of George Town, the service was unfortunately lacking, especially when I needed assistance with my room. The rooms were refurbished and well-maintained, but I encountered issues with air conditioning (which was frustrating). Overall, I found it to be a mixed bag.

I had a pleasant stay at Merchant Hotel, thanks to its convenient location near Love Lane and various dining options. The spacious twin room offered lovely views, although some areas could benefit from updates. Breakfast was healthy but had limited choices. My main concern was the noise from renovations in the mornings, which disturbed my rest. Overall, it was a cozy spot with friendly staff, and I'd consider returning! 😊
